Kick the Winter Blues on the Slopes

This January, Spyder is turning “Blue Monday” on its head. In celebration of International Snow Day, we are taking over Echo Mountain Ski Resort for a special community event dedicated to mental wellness and the joy of winter sports.

We know that winter can be tough. Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) impacts millions of Americans every year, with symptoms peaking in January. That’s why we are championing the “Science of Optimized Performance”—proving that fresh air, movement, and community are the ultimate tools for resilience.

What to Expect

We are inviting you to disconnect from the stress and reconnect with the outdoors. All registered attendees will receive a complete winter experience on us:

  • Free Access: Enjoy complimentary chairlift tickets to explore the mountain.
  • Gear Included: Don’t have equipment? We are providing free snow gear rentals (skis or snowboards).
  • Activities for Everyone: whether you want to ski, snowboard, or just enjoy tubing, there is a way for you to get moving.
  • Learn to Ride: First time on snow? Take advantage of discounted beginner lessons courtesy of Echo Mountain.
  • Meet the Pros: Hang out with Spyder-sponsored athletes, including X Games Gold Medalist Mac Forehand and others, who will be on-site to share their own stories of winter wellness.

Wellness & Gear

Beyond the slopes, visit our SAD Awareness Booth to pick up educational materials, learn about light therapy, and discover how outdoor activity boosts endorphins and Vitamin D levels. Plus, shop exclusive discounted Spyder apparel to keep you warm all season long.

Registration opens on December 18, 2024, and closes on January 8, 2025. Spaces are limited, so sign up early to secure your spot on the mountain!

“This initiative is about going beyond apparel; it’s about fostering a healthy and positive mindset for everyone to enjoy the winter season.” — Mac Forehand, Spyder Athlete.
