Championing Wellness: Supporting Mental Health Awareness Through Winter Sports
Spyder hosts an event to bring awareness to Seasonal Affective Disorder
LAFAYETTE, Colo. (December 1, 2024) – Spyder, a global leader in high-performance winter apparel, is pleased to announce a new initiative to support mental health awareness and encourage active lifestyles during the winter months. This effort seeks to address Seasonal Affective Disorder, also known as SAD, which impacts millions of Americans annually, especially during January, when symptoms are most pronounced.
Spyder will host a free event at Echo Mountain Ski Resort in Colorado on January 18 in celebration of International Snow Day, established by the International Ski Federation. This initiative will highlight the positive mental health benefits of winter sports, encourage outdoor activity, raise awareness about Seasonal Affective Disorder, and further strengthen Spyder’s connection with the winter sports community. Renowned for its premium outdoor gear, Spyder seeks to inspire individuals affected by Seasonal Affective Disorder to embrace the winter season through the joy and vitality of outdoor pursuits.
